Course Description

Are you interested in learning about ways to ensure that your education abroad office and your program offerings are accessible to students with disabilities?

This e-learning course explores three areas: disability as an area of student diversity, advising students with disabilities for education abroad, and facilitating access to the education abroad office.

About the instructor

Assistant Director of Disability Services, School for International Training (SIT)

Julia Karpicz

Julia Karpicz works in the Office of Disability Services for the School for International Training (SIT). As the Assistant Director of Disability Services, Julia works with SIT Study Abroad and SIT Graduate Institute students in facilitating equal access to their educational experience. She holds an MA in International Education from New York University and a BA in Political Science from UNC Chapel Hill. Prior to joining SIT, Julia served as the Assistant Accommodations Administrator at the NYU Moses Center for Students with Disabilities. Her previous experiences include programmatic and policy work in the areas of refugee education, community-driven development, and education in conflict.
